Congratulations! You just made another Isosceles triangle! This is the back edge of the deck beam. Place the deck beam in its location and trim to fit, if necessary. Apply adhesive to its ends. Set it so that a ¼ inch sticks up above the sides. Nail from the outside into the ends of the beam with (2) 1 1/2 inch ring nails.
